This course will introduce essential microbiology concepts and explore the link between microorganisms and human health. Students will learn about the different replication and transmission mechanisms of key viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites that affect human health and the relationship between microorganisms, antimicrobial resistance, cancer, autoimmunity and global health.
